MOFID CHILDREN’S
HOSPITAL
Mofid Children’s Hospital, affiliated to Shahid Beheshti University
of Medical Sciences, one of the most popular pediatric training
centers in Iran, which is a general center for children, infants
and neonatal patients.
This hospital is one of the largest therapeutic and teaching centers
in Iran and every year considerable member of medical students,
interns and pediatric residents and also sub specialists fellow sre
trained in this center which has many wards such as Pediatric
surgery, Pediatric neurosurgery, Internal urology, Pediatric
neurology, Pediatric gastrointestinal and Endoscopy department. This
center has 210 therapeutic beds and also 150 specialist and sub
specialist beds.

HOSPITAL MAIN WARDS
The main wards that could give services to foreign pediatric
patients are as following:
Pediatric surgery ward, which has individual rooms and specific
services for foreign patients.
NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) with 18 beds and included all
necessary possibilities, incubator, warmer, respirator, monitoring,
Pulse oxymetry, blood gas, portable radiology, portable sonography,
portable cardiography , phototherapy, infusion pump, glucometer,
bilitest.

STATISTICS
The main operations that had been performed in last year are
as following:
More than 300 cases of pediatric urologic problems.
More than 1700 pediatric general surgery, abdomine surgery,
trauma, thorax and neck surgeries.
More than 150 pediatric neurosurgeries.
More than 50 pediatric manofacial surgeries. |

PARACLINICAL SERVICES
Metabolic and endocrinology center, anesthesia ward, psycological
ward, general surgery center, dentistry center, lung center, ENT
ward, infection
ward, orthopedic center, physical therapy and rehabilitation
ward,pathology department and pediatric clinic and emergency that
are active for 24 hours.
